What Is VLT?Updated 7 months ago

VLT stands for visual light transmission - the percentage reflects the amount of light that shows through the lens. The higher the VLT percentage, the lighter the lens tint will be (for example, a 11% VLT will be darker than a 14% VLT). Lenses with a lower VLT percentage will have a darker tint and will block more light from coming through to the eye. Our eyewear ranges 9% to 91% VLT depending on the lens tint.

The VLT for the photochromic lens depends on the strength of direct sunlight. It is 87% when the Photochromic coating is not activated and a maximum of 14% when activated.
